The Minor in Communication

Students from a wide variety of other programs on campus —from Illustration in the Hartford Art School to Marketing in the Barney School of Business—take advantage of the opportunity to complete a minor in Communication.

The requirements for a minor are quite flexible and include:

• One course selected from:
  • CMM 110 Introduction to Communication (3 cr.)
  • CMM 311 Research Methods in Communication (3 cr.)
  • CMM 411 Communication Theory (3 cr.)
• Two CMM courses (3 cr. each) at or above the 300 level
• Three additional three-credit CMM courses
