The School of Communication offers other resources to enhance and facilitate the education of our students.
There are student organizations that are particularly appealing to Communication students:
Lambda Pi Eta, a national honor society for students majoring in Communication
STN Channel 2, a student-run weekly live news production
The Informer, the official student weekly newspaper
Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), our chapter of a national public relations student organization
WSAM student-run radio
Hawk Sports Television, a student sports broadcasting club
Another resource for students with an interest in the field of radio is WWUH 91.3 FM, a non-commercial radio station located in the Harry Jack Gray Center.
Financial resources in the form of scholarships are awarded to students majoring in Communication.
