Broadcasting around the region and available world-wide on the Internet is the University of Hartford's WWUH 91.3 FM radio station. Staffed by students and volunteers from the community, it is known for its outstanding and smart music, public affairs, and specialized programming. Unlike most radio stations, which play a limited variety of music and little community-based programming, WWUH utilizes one of the largest music libraries in the nation and the eclectic and informed tastes of approximately sixty different program hosts to create "must listen" radio 24/7. Many of the public affairs programs are produced at the station, as are all of the music programs. In addition to the vibrant on-air programming, WWUH also hosts live concerts and public affairs events on campus and in the community. Station alumni have gone on to careers in a wide assortment of media- related fields. Students in the School of Communication with an interest in radio can get involved with WWUH in many ways from on-air time to technical support.
