Want to try your hand at journalistic writing or find out what it’s like to work in the newspaper business? Then you may want to submit an article or land a position on the staff of The Informer, a weekly newspaper run by students. The official University of Hartford student newspaper, the Informer presents a great opportunity for Communication students to get involved, learn about journalism, develop new skills, and meet other students from across campus who share your interests. Whether you love sports, politics, entertainment, or news of any kind, you’ll find like-minded students working at the Informer. Even if your emphasis in Communication is Human Communication Studies or Advertising and Public Relations, your participation is welcome. And you don’t have to wait to get involved—jump right in your first semester by writing an article or editorial or stopping by The Informer office in Gengras Student Union to find out how to get involved.
