Adam Chiara

Adam ChiaraAdam Chiara is an Applied Assistant Professor in the School of Communication. He teaches courses in social media, public relations, and multimedia production, as well as continuing to stay professionally active in the communication field.

Prior to teaching at the University of Hartford full-time, Chiara was the Communications Associate at Universal Health Care Foundation of Connecticut. His background also includes freelancing as a multimedia journalist and working at Yale University's Rudd Center (now UConn Rudd Center), where he created multimedia content and maintained the social media presence for the research center. Additionally, he has managed political campaigns and worked several years at the Connecticut General Assembly, giving him extensive knowledge in politics, public policy, and legislative process. He also spent three years teaching as an adjunct professor at several higher education institutions in Connecticut.

Chiara earned a M.S. in Journalism from Quinnipiac University and a B.A. in Communication from Central Connecticut State University.
