Mission

The mission of the School of Communiction reflects our approach to education and is our official statement of what we intend our graduates to learn and become as a result of our program. Perhaps it is most easily grasped this way:
Our mission is to prepare communication graduates to successfully navigate a changing world.
We provide students with a liberal arts grounding, a broad understanding of the field of communication, and depth of knowledge in a communication specialty.
This blend of preparation engenders in our graduates social awareness, ethical and moral concern, and a range of communication, analytical, creative, and technological competencies that affords them true versatility.
Students graduate prepared to shape a technologically and culturally diverse world, engage in lifelong learning, and achieve personal and professional success.
If you share this vision for your education, we just might be the right Communication program for you.
