Biomedical Engineering
The ABET accredited Biomedical Engineering program was introduced in 1994. The faculty worked closely with health care professionals at the University of Connecticut Health Center and Hartford hospital, among other leading institutions. This unique program is designed around students who wish to focus their technical careers on assisting in the strugle against illness and disease by providing material, tools and techniques that can be utilized for research, diagnosis and treatment by health care professionals. Two versions are available, both leading to the Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Our standard program and a second version are both considered suitable for those students wishing to prepare for medical school.
