Note:  Fees and Charges are subject to change.  For confirmation, please refer to the latest bulletin or contact your respective schools or the new Student Administrative Services Center at (860)768-4999.  The following are for the Fall 2008 term.

PAYMENT OF CHARGES: Charges incurred as a result of your registration for the fall 2008 term are due and payable July 30, 2008.  Billing statements for those students registered full time will be processed July 03, 2008.  Students who make payment by July 30, 2008 will receive their confirming schedule and I.D. validation sticker through the mail.  Regardless of whether or not you have been billed, your financial obligation must be addressed in order for you to be cleared for attendance.  If you are not cleared for attendance, you will not be listed on class rolls as authorized to attend.  Failure to pay by the due date will cause your account to be placed on Cashier's Restriction.  A default charge equal to 1.5% of the unpaid balance is assessed each month on all past due accounts.  The University requires that all remittances be in the form of U.S. Currency and that your check/money order be payable in U.S. Dollars through a financial institution with an office in the United States.  Any fees charged to the University by our bank for processing checks through a foreign collection agency will become the responsibility of the student. 

CHECKS/MONEY ORDERS/TRAVELERS CHECKS: Checks, Money Orders and Travelers Checks should be made payable to UNIVERSITY OF HARTFORD.  To expedite processing, please also include your University I.D. number and name on all forms of payment.  The University requires that all remittances be in the form of U.S. Currency and that your check be payable in U.S. Dollars through a financial institution with an office in the United States.  Checks returned for insufficient funds or stop payment will result in a $15 fee.  All payments should be sent to:

EXPRESS WINDOW: General Operating Hours: The SASC Express Window is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday the Express Window is open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  For your convenience our Student Administrative Services Center can also accept payment from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

MASTERCARD/VISA/DISCOVER/AMERICAN EXPRESS: The University accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express credit cards for payment. If you wish to pay all or a portion of your charges in this manner, you may pay on-line by clicking on the link below,  choose to telephone our automated payment line at (860)768-5734 or you may make payment at our Express Window.  For your protection, we do not retain your credit card number.  It is therefore necessary for you to contact us each time you want to initiate such a payment.

Payment Plans:

The University of Hartford realizes that managing the cost of education is a challenge for most families.  The University has set up a program with an educational financial institution Sallie Mae TuitionPayThrough our program with this institution we are pleased to offer you an affordable and convenient payment option for meeting college costs.

The University of Hartford monthly TuitionPay plan allows you to pay current annual expenses in 10 interest free installments beginning June 1.  The only cost to you is an application fee.*  Half of your contract amount will be credited to your student account each term.  Applications and the proper payment is needed to be received by the published deadline in order to participate in this payment plan.

Please note that you should compare your budgeted amount to the Bursar billing statement.  Any discrepancies are the responsibility of the student and they will be required to either adjust their plan accordingly or, if necessary, make payment through the Student Administrative Services Center.
