E-billing Instructions
The University has implemented e-billing. With this new system, all University of Hartford bills will be delivered electronically via e-mail rather than by U.S. mail. You can view your account information and billing statements online. Beginning in December 2008, you will be able to pay your bills online.
Please note that you are responsible for payment of bills by the due date even if e-mail notification has not been viewed. Please check your University e-mail regularly.
If you do not pay your own University bill, you must sign up your parents, guardians or other authorized payers so they will receive an e-mail message when bills are available. This will help to ensure that payments are made by the due date. Remember, no more paper bills will be mailed.
To set up an authorized payer (parents, guardians or others):
1. Go to www.hartford.edu, click on current students, then Self-Service Center. Sign in using your user ID and Self-Service Center PIN, then click the CASHNet link
2. OR Go to CASHNet by clicking here: https://commerce.cashnet.com/hartfordpay then use your user ID and Self-Service Center PIN to sign on
3. Once you are on “Your Account” page, look for the “Parent PIN” box.
4. Click “Add New" link.
5. Enter a log in name for the parent or authorized payer.
6. Enter the person’s e-mail address.
7. If you choose, you can add enter a message that will be included in the e-mail that is sent to the authorized user.
8. Leave the next two questions defaulted to “Yes”.
9. Click OK.
10. Once you have successfully signed up your authorized payers, they will receive an e-mail informing them that they have been set up to receive billing messages and make online payments. The e-mail message includes their log in ID, temporary password as well as a web address for them to log into the CASHNet system.
