Other (hopefully) Useful Links
The weather report for Hartford, CT.
(Has it changed yet?)
Statistics Links. Very Useful stuff for those of that mind.
HIV/AIDS links. This is
not meant to be an exhaustive list, but it will point you to some pages that
are nearly so.
Complementary and
Alternative Medicine links. Although it is impossible to be even remotely
complete in this area, these links will point you in many directions.
All the news you never read about can be found
in the Undernews at the Progressive
Review.
Other useful progressive news (and
opinion) sources are Alternet, Buzzflash, Bartcop,
Commondreams (nice list of news
links), London Independent, Guerrillanews, Tom Paine, LiberalOasis, RawStory, and Unknownnews (with possible repetition).
All manner of progressive opinion can be had in CounterPunch.
In need of a quick humor fix at the expense of
almost anyone? Try the headlines in the ironictimes. Irreverant and guaranteed to produce at least
a smile.
Media criticism is
available at FAIR. This site also includes a very
nice set of links to other media resources.
Brief and sensible commentary on science,
technology, and public policy can be had at What’s
New written by Bob Park. For more science policy, there is the homepage of
the Union of Concerned Scientists. News in
science can be found at Eurekalert or Science Daily. The daily astronomy picture is a must
see. Discussion of the overlap of science and policy is covered at the NewsInferno.
