History

Asian Student Association (ASA) was founded by Kim Nguyen in 2006 with the sole purpose to support and nurture Asian students at the University of Hartford by means of social events and programs. Since then ASA memberships has been steadily growing with a huge jump in numbers during the 08-09 year. ASA received the leadership award in 2009 for continuous programming, dedication to improve campus life and overall contribution to the University community. ASA has grown to spread and promote the richness of Asian culture and traditions at the University of Hartford campus by organizing Asian food workshops, educational programs and many other diverse programs. Regardless of racial or ethnic background, ASA meet up for friendship and social interactions on campus.
