GPAOverall GPA includes all courses taken for letter grade. Courses used to calculate GPA within the major are courses with the code designation AET.
Electives Technical Specialty courses are defined as specific upper level courses in the major.
Professional Electives are courses that contribute to a student's career goals and objectives and are carefully chosen in consultation with the academic advisor.

Unrestricted Elective may be courses from any of the colleges in the University. Students are encouraged to supplement their program of study by taking unrestricted electives.
FRESHMEN The Architecture Tool Kit is annually approved by the faculty to be sold to the entering freshmen. Tool kits will be available for purchase at the start of the fall semester at Jerry's Artarama, 1109 New Britian Ave, West Hartford, CT 06110, (860) 232-0073. The college will not be accepting checks for purchase. Jerry's Artarama usually provides transportation to their West Hartford location at the start of the semester.
The TI-86 calculator is recommended for students taking MTH 112.
Though we do not have a computer requirement Professor Fuller annually provides a computer suggestion.

Learning Culture Policy
MINOR IN ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY A minor in architectural engineering technology is available to students in programs other than architectural engineering technology who have interests and abilities in architectural design. Students must declare the minor in architecture prior to the end of their junior year. Students must complete the following courses for the architectural engineering technology minor.
AET 123 - Architectural Design I (4 credits)
AET 155 - History of Architecture (4 credits)
Four (4) additional AET courses
Architectural Engineering Technology majors have several minor options. Common minors for AET majors are Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Art, to name a few.
