UNIVERSITY OF HARTFORD AES
EXECUTIVE BOARD ELECTIONS 2012-2013:
Name: David Dorado
Major: Audio Engineering Technology
Graduation Year: 2014
Position: Vice President/Vice Chair (CETA)
Hello,
My name is Dave Dorado and I would like to run for Vice President of AES for next year. I am a transfer student from Wallkill, New York and this is my first year at the University of Hartford. I transferred here specifically for audio and I am also studying Digital Media Tech while working toward an associates in electronics. In my free time I record my own music and DJ. As a transfer I found it difficult this year to uncover what this campus has to offer and I am just starting to see all of the activities and organizations on campus. I feel that holding office in AES will help me further my connections with my audio peers and also the UHart community. AES offers a lot of opportunities and ways to connect with the campus and community and I would like to be apart of that while bringing my own ideas to the table.
Vote DAVID DORADO for AES Vice President!
Name: Rahul Chandrasekaran
Major: Music Production and Technology
Graduation Year: 2014
Position: Events Coordinator (Hartt)
Hi, my name is Rahul Chandrasekaran and I am interested in running for Hartt Events Coordinator. I am a sophomore MPT and am from Ledyard, CT. My instrumental concentration is violin this year but I am planning to switch to chorus for my last two years. Extracurricular activities that I take part in now are L'Shir (co-ed a cappella group on campus) and intramural sports. My family is originally from Chennai, India. We speak Tamil, a Dravidian (south Indian) language spoken in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. In addition, I am currently studying Carnatic music (South Indian classical music), with specific proficiency in mridangam, a percussion instrument that is the primary rhythmic accompaniment in a Carnatic music ensemble. I have a general knowledge with the music/film industry of India. My career goal is to do sound work for films in Indian and/or American cinema.
I hope that you choose me for Hartt Events Coordinator because I feel that I would be able to successfully organize and schedule events that benefit Hartford AES. Some goals of mine are to have our chapter participate in more regional/ national events, increase the collaboration of Hartt and CETA, hire guest speakers from different backgrounds/areas in the audio industry, and create an enriching environment that would encourage more students to join the AES.
Thanks and I appreciate your vote!

Graduation Year: 2013
Position: Events Coordinator (CETA)
I am entering my senior and final year in the Audio Engineering Technology Program. I have had experience on campus in both the digital and analog studios at CETA along with the studios at Hartt. In the past I have had an internship with Verbatim Studios in Manhattan NYC where I did everything from helping with creating studio time schedules to participating in the casting of commercials for companies such as DirecTV and Buffalo Wild Wings. My goal as events coordinator would be to lead and assist with the scheduling of AES activities and organize how members are communicated with concerning all activities.

Name: Jade Parente
Major: Audio Engineering Technology
Graduation Year: 2013
Position: Vice President/Vice Chair (CETA)
Hey guys! My name is Jade Parente and I am running to be your Vice President of Hartford AES. I am a junior audio engineering major with a minor in performing arts management and am currently your AES Treasurer. I am very capable of doing this job successfully for I have held the positions of Vice President and Treasurer of the International Dance Team. I came into this major the second semester of my freshman year without a clue about it. I chose it because I figured if I was spending all this money in college, I might as well learn something totally new. I have no regrets about this and am fully enjoying my experience. I have had an audio internship at an outdoor summer performing arts festival (Celebrate Brooklyn!) and I currently run sound for a church (Riverfront Church). I want to be the Vice President of AES because I want to become even more involved in audio and if you will allow me the opportunity to further my learning, you will see my success.

Name: Jorden Howard
Major: Audio Engineering Technology
Graduation Year: 2015
Position: Vice President/Vice Chair (CETA)
My name is Jorden Howard and I am running for CETA VP. I am currently a freshman at the university in CETA studying Audio Engineering Technology. I want to run for the E-board because I think I have what it takes to be successful in making this organization run smoothly and also grow on campus. I am involved in many things on campus such as the Resident Hall Organization (RHA). I currently hold the position of VP of Programming and will hold this position for the following year. I believe with me holding that position and one on this E-board we will be able to collaborate on events more smoothly and get more exposure for AES. I believe the more events AES is involved in, the more chances of us being able to grow and become bigger on campus. Again, my name is Jorden Howard and I am running for VP and i hope i have your vote.
Thank You

Position: President/Chair
Hey AES! My name’s David Fiore and I am a junior in the AET program. I had a blast this past year as the events coordinator, and I am very excited to run for president. I have a lot of ideas that we didn’t have the time to get around to this year, from touring broadcast and recording studios to having more guest speakers come in to visit. If I am elected for president, I plan on having a lot of fun events for AES. I believe I would be a great candidate for AES president and I am really looking forward to this great opportunity.

Hi, fellow AES members! My name is Shyann Chen. I am a freshman interested in running for secretary. I would be grateful if you voted for me! Name: Nate Hollings
Major: Audio Engineering Technology
Graduation Year: 2014
Position: Treasurer
My name is Nate Hollings and I am running for Treasurer of AES. Next semester I will be a junior so I have already had lots of experience majoring in Audio Engineering and Technology as well as doing recording and music outside of school. In addition, being only a junior allows me to be committed and have the time to put into both the Audio Program and AES. One of my strengths is in human interactions so i would do a good job in dealing with administration and all other aspects of being treasurer of AES.
