influence on Young Girls
To Engage in Sexual
Activity
As a Senior in High School, I noticed
that the freshmen class were always in mischief, involved in the daily gossip,and dating the senior
boys. Puzzled by this observation I
decided to talk to these girls and see what they were all about. It was astonishing how in 2004 when I was a freshmen
compared to the freshmen of 2007 were so ahead of their time. They were no longer watching the Disney
channel on Saturday mornings, playing double dutch,
or going with their friends to the park.
These children were robbed a part of their childhood!! Freshmen girls were having sex some starting
at 12 and others at 14, 15!! They talked
about drinking, partying, and how they lie to their parents to stay out late to
do whatever they wanted. This was not a
bluff because while my Senior friends and I went to
clubs, house parties, or the local hangouts; a freshmen girl was there. It made us turn our noses down to them, but
also play “Big Sister” to those who we felt were sincere and not completely brain
washed; by what I was soon to discover as one of the main reasons young girls
were having sex with each other or boys their age to 4 years older than them!! I asked a group of girls if they felt they
needed attention, but they disagreed and said “we just like to party”!! It
dawned on me that the media, our society are condoning and influencing sex and
inappropriate behaviors on the youth within our communities. The way our society has neglected to regulate
uncensored entertainment has surely affected our youth and will only get
worse. In order to explain my point
further watch the videos, read the lyrics, and realize that our 12, 13,14, and 15 year old daughters, nieces, and friends are
living in a corrupted society!!!
Dirty Songs and
their Tasteless Lyrics!!
Explicit lyrics and graphics portray women as
sex objects, who are to be used for pleasure when stimulation by the preferred
sex is desired. The lyrics in songs
serve as a constant reminder to the youth, influencing them to perform what
they are being told. For example: Uncle Luke tells his young audience in the

Me: How old are you?
Janelle: 15
Me: I remember being
15 the otherday, I use to party a lot do you?
Janelle: Yeah, I go
to house parties in the Bronx or where ever, Templo ( a club), where ever!!
Me: What kind of
music do you like?
Janelle: Reggae and
Dancehall! Im Jamaican so that’s what I love to
listen to.
Me: Why is dancing
to Reggae better than dancing to different generes or
types of music?
Janelle: Boys dance
to it alot, we dance different than most other kids cause
its closer and more touching. There’s
whining and grinding on eachother at slow and fast
paces, its fun to see who can go hard enough to break tha
other person.
Me: How would you
break someone?
Janelle: You do
different positions, we say sometimes its like having
“dry sex”!
Me: Do you hook up
with guys at parties?
Janelle: Yea
depending on how he dances and looks! If they dance wack
then I know they can’t really do anything like kissing or whatever!!
Me: So if he can’t
