Jon Green


Jon Green is the Director of the Connecticut Working Families Party, a grassroots coalition of union members, community activists, and concerned citizens that was formed to hold elected officials accountable to the needs of low-income and working class communities. Working Families fights for issues such as living wages and health care for workers, campaign finance reform, and fair taxes that support quality public services. Prior to the formation of the Connecticut Working Families Party, Jon was a political organizer for ACORN (The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) and SEIU Local 880 in Chicago, where he ran grassroots political campaigns and helped organize the Chicago Jobs and Living Wage campaign which passed one of the nation's first Living Wage ordinances in 1998.
