About SWE:

   The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a not-for-profit educational and service organization that empowers women to succeed and advance in the field of engineering, and to be recognized for their life-changing contributions as engineers and leaders. Founded in 1950, SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career for women through an exciting array of training and development programs, networking opportunities, scholarships, outreach and advocacy activities, and much more. About SWE at the University of Hartford:

   As a collegiate chapter of Society of Women Engineers, SWE is a student organization for students pursuing careers in engineering, technology, and architecture. Although the name of the club is Society of Women engineers, male students are strongly encouraged to join, showing their support for women, and helping futher women in their chosen fields.

     6/11/08: Website renovation has begun, over the next few months, expect a complete transformation.

    5/14/08: Summer break officially begins. Have a great break everyone! See you in September.
