R.U.M.O.R.S. Play

Respect & Understanding Make Our Relationships Successful

The R.U.M.O.R.S. play is created annually by upper-class students for incoming students as a way to raise awareness about social issues that can arise in college life such as alcohol and drug abuse, sexuality and relationships, eating disorders, racism, and dating violence. All students are welcome to try out for an existing skit, or to audition their own original performance.

How Do I Try Out?

E-mail us for times at thenetwrk@mail.hartford.edu

You may audition for one of our existing skits.  Skits are available in Gengras Student Union Room 319, call 5433 for details or just drop by.

You may audition a song that addresses a social or wellness issue.

Poetry is welcome as a performance art.  Pieces will be auditioned on both poem and performance value, and must address a social issue.

You may audition a skit you have written which addresses a social issue.  We are looking for skits on eating disorders, drugs, suicide and racism.
