I knew architecture was my passion when the work became so much fun that the days would fly by. I have always enjoyed design, working together in groups and forcing myself to think outside the box. The ability to become creative and free is like no other. In architecture you have all the freedom of an artist with all the complexity and structure of an engineer. One truly has to think about all the aspects of the building from the people using it, to how it will affect the community in 50 years. This is what is so intriguing to me. Architecture is so much more than design, lines, and boxes. Architecture is a constant struggle between what is best for the building and how to satisfy the client. The chance to work on a project one day and work on something else completely different the next day is amazing. It gives me a feeling of constant change and excitement.
