Chris's Western Art Final Project

175 Scarborough Street, West Hartford: The front of this house has clearly been influenced by ancient Greek architecture. The columns on the front have no base like the doric columns, but they are not fluted. The captital is doric like, but it has a flat piece on top of it.
34 Scarborough Street, West Hartford: This house has doric columns. They have no base, and it has a light fluting. The capital is rounded up and then gets flat on the top.
20 Scarborough Street, West Hartford: This building has 4 Ionic columns in the front, and the building is lined with fake Ionic columns. They are Ionic because of the rounded circles on the top, and the fluting, and the round-like base.
163 Scarborough Street, West Hartford: This building has many columns that are clearly infuenced by the Doric columns from Greek architecture. Though the columns are block-like they have no base, and a rounded capital as do the Doric columns.
Church, 175 Scarborough Street, West Hartford: The front of this church has four Doric columns, the only difference, is the capital, instead of just ending where it is round, it has a flat rectangular piece on top.
