About Me
I teach fifth grade students at the University of Hartford Magnet school. This school is amazing and has a great deal of technology available for both teachers and students. I found however, that I was not using this technology to enhance my teaching or the student's learning. One day our school staff had a presentation by Dr. Rick King about a master's program in Educational Technology. I thought that this master's program would be a good way to learn more about how to use technology in my classroom. This could be the answer to my technology delima. I started with one course in spring 2008 and then began in earnest in fall 2010. Although taking courses and working full time has been challanging at times I am greatful that I have perservered. I feel that I am a better teacher because of these courses and this degree.
In addition to teaching and learning I am the proud mother of two adult children; Rachel and Colin. They have both been so supportive of me returning to school. They are also my biggest cheerleaders! I am very greateful for their support. I also have two adorable Bichon dogs; Polar and Duncan.This is Duncan pictured with me below.
