Ginger Sugar Cookies

I went to school every day with two of these cookies and had perfect attendance all through high school! there must be a connection !

Cream:

  1. 2 cups sugar
  2. 1 ½ cups shortening

Add:

2 eggs
1 ½ cup molasses
4 cups flour
4tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. Cinnamon
2 tsp. Cloves
2 tsp. Ginger
½ tsp. salt

Directions:

Refrigerate 1 hour. Shape 1 ¼ balls and roll in sugar. Bake 7-9 minutes in 350 degree oven on greased cookie sheet.
