The program focuses on manufacturing processes and material design, testing to industry standards, hands-on training in design and drafting using computer technology and balancing design objectives with production constraints. Graduates work as members of a manufacturing team assisting with planning and designing, analyzing the cost-effectiveness of production methods, drafting plans for proposed machines or parts, testing manufactured goods to ensure quality and supervising the work of skilled mechanical craftsmen.
