Bio:
Hello Darling, an indie rock band from Hartford, Connecticut was formed in January of 2004 when Mike O'Donnell, the band's lead vocalist and guitarist enlisted John Coen, guitar and Zach Carver-Gustin, bass, along with former drummer Jared Ainscough to form a new group.  All band members were students at the University of Hartford, and Mike had previously been introduced to John and Zach when the two Audio Engineering majors recorded Mike's solo acoustic work for a class project.  The band began practicing, originally adapting songs that Mike had previously written for his solo work, and eventually started writing their own collective songs.  They take their inspiration from artists including Elliot Smith, Dinosaur Jr., J. Mascis, and Lemonheads, and write music mostly based on personal experiences.

Hello Darling played their first public show on March 4, 2004 with the Rebecca Correia Band at the Hawks Nest at the University of Hartford.  Since then, the band has gone on to play throughout New England at such venues as Millie's, c.o. Jones, and the University of Connecticut, as well as with bands including The Everyday Visuals and Lock and Key.  They had taken the time to record some tracks and create a short demo.

After taking a brief hiatus in the summer of 2005, Hello Darling has experienced a recent revival this fall after becoming a part of the Manage It! Project in cooperation with the Performing Arts and Music Management program at the Hartt School.  Manage It! has taken on the band and assisted in booking, recording and promoting their music.  At this crucial time in the band's career, Jared has been unable to continue with the group.  Replacing him is Jonathan Chamberlain, a Music Management major at the Hartt School, a member of the Manage It! Project, as well as an accomplished drummer.  Jon's addition to the band has added a fresh spin to the band's already impressive sound.  From this point on, "we're going to give it all that we can," the band declared.
