Nintendo 64
This was the first system in the Nintendo line to have 3-D 64 bit graphics. Not to mention it also had some of the best 4-player multiplayer games of all time.
Nintendo Gamecube
Good 'ol 2001 brought about the Gamecube. This console had the best array of 4-player multiplayer games on the market.
