Well, how should I begin. I guess I already have. (SMILE) I love reading, writing,
poetry and Star Trek. (That's the reason for the starry background.)
Just for the Trekies, all Star Trek is great but the next generation is the best, though
my brother doesn't agree.

Speaking of stars, My Hubby did a wonderful thing for me this past
Christmas. He had a star named after us. Though it's not officially
accepted by the
International Astronomical Union; it's the sweetest thing anyone has
ever done. It's in the Cygnus constellation.
As far as school, I've been extremely involved throughout my years here at UHART.
I've participated in organizations like the Commuter Transfer Association, Naciones
Hispanas Unidas and Residential Life. I've received awards like the Vice
President's Recognition of Service Award, Best Program of the Year and
CALAHE. I've done INROADS
internships and so much more but nothing
compares to the time LTA entered my life. I've gained many lifelong
friends, contributed to my community more now than ever before and have
learned and grown so much it's unexplainable. It's not only touched my
life but that of my entire family. My sisters have become my heart,
from perfect strangers to true sisters. I knew that from the beginning;
it was my dad who had the heart attack when we were going to pledge.
The sisters were so very supportive. Jen's favorite poem is a perfect
one.
I have a lot of opinions about the way people have been talking about
LTA and Lambda Theta Phi; but I don't want to argue any opinions with
anyone. I just want people to remember a couple of things. No matter
what organization you are in...you are trying to accomplish a goal.
Work for our community but especially for the children. Remember why your
Founders did what they did. Honor them as you would honor your own
mothers and fathers. As in Matthew 7:12 says, "So in everything, do to others
what you would have them do to you..."
I guess I've gone on long enough. The best way to sum LTA up for
me is; I have another family who loves me as I love them, UNCONDITIONALLY.
