Fighter Aircraft: An Introduction

The F-14 is arguably the best air superiority fighter in the world, but it is currently being retired.

This site is designed to give a quick overview of foreign and domestic fighter aircraft.
It will deal with carrier based and land based air superiority, attacker, and bomber aircraft.

What will be stressed on this website is speed and armament. There is more to aircraft than just these, but they are the biggest factors in an aerial battle, with only maneuverability being as important. However, maneuverability is subjective based on the pilot.
