Bharat R. Kolluri

Bharat Kolluri is Chair of the Economics, Insurance/Finance and Actuarial Science Department and Professor of Economics at the Barney School of Business and Public Administration where he has taught since 1976. He is on Sabbatical during the Spring 1997 semester. He also taught at Andhra University in India and at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He received his PhD with distinction in Economics in 1977 with a dissertation on Unobservables in Econometric Models from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He also received a Master's degree in Statistics from Andhra University in India.

His primary areas of teaching are Business Statistitics and Quantitative Analysis for Decision Making.

Professor Kolluri is the author of the book, Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science Statistics Lab Manual II published by Telugu Akademi Press, Hyderabad, India, 1972. His articles have appeared in journals such as Public Finance, The Quarterly Review of Economics and Business, Journal of Economics and Business, Journal of Financial Research, The Southern Economic Journal, Journal of Macroeconomics, and The Review of Economics and Statistics.

Dr. Kolluri has presented papers in a number of professional organizations including American Economic Association, Econometric Society Meetings, Financial Management Association, and International Symposium on Forecasting. His current research activity deals with interest elasticity of savings among OECD countries, public expenditure growth, common stock returns and the expected rate of inflation.
