Welcome to
Information Technology Services
The
Information Technology Services Department was
formed in 1997 by merging Administrative Computer Services,
Academic Computer Services and the Telecommunications
Department into a unified organization whose objective is to
provide and maintain effective tools enabling the distribution
and application of electronic information for the entire
University community.
"The
Information Technology Services mission is to help students,
faculty, and staff achieve their information technology
goals in a responsive, delighted, and cost effective
manner.”
To accomplish this, the department's staff of 30
technical and professional employees plan, implement and
maintain thousands of miles of network wire and optical fiber,
scores of micro to mid-size computers, hundreds of peripheral
devices, dozens of switching and routing devices, millions of
lines of computer program code and billions of bytes of data
storage capacity.
The Information Technology Services
Department (ITS) operates
the University of Hartford's data, telephone and video
networks, the main administrative and academic computer
systems and four of the academic computer labs.
ITS also provides support,
assistance and training for students, faculty and staff who
use the University's networks and systems. Find the
