Men's Tennis Drops 5-2 Decision at Loyola Marymount

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 23) - The University of Hartford men's tennis team wrapped up its spring break trip to California with a 5-2 loss at Loyola Marymount on Wednesday.

LMU swept all three doubles matches from the Hawks to earn the doubles point. Jeff Hurlbert and Patrick Flint held a 5-1 advantage in number one doubles action until LMU's Michael Wojnarowicz and Matt Phillips won eight of the final 10 games to capture the match 9-7.

Doruk Baglan downed Nico Terrien 6-4, 7-5 at number two singles while Hurlbert defeated Linas Cicenas 6-3, 6-2 at number three.

Hartford falls to 2-3 overall and will return to America East action on Saturday, April 2 at Binghamton beginning at 11 a.m.
