Mission Statement
The purpose of Gamma Iota Sigma is to enhance the professional
development of Risk
Management, Insurance, and Actuarial Science
majors through building
a sense of community and cohesion among these
majors while improving
their career opportunities through increasing
knowledge of the
risk management and insurance fields.
Our main goal is
professional development and the preparation of our
members for
high quality employment opportunities in risk
management, insurance,
and actuarial science. We also seek to
develop our members
socially and help
them to start
building professional contacts now that will serve
them throughout
their career.
