Death over Dishonor
Samurais: Death over Dishonor
Samurais were military nobility in pre-industrial Japan. The original Japanese term is Saburau.††
Samurais followed a special code of conduct called bushido. Bushido puts emphasis on loyalty, martial arts expertise, frugality and death before dishonor.
Although Samurais donít exist anymore, their teachings still survive to this very day and influence Japanese martial arts.
