Knights were men who were granted an honorary title by political leaders or monarchs, for their service to the country or a monarch usually in the form of military endeavors.

Knights were usually mounted and followed a code of conduct which included chivalry.

Chivalry is the code by which knights vow to uphold the values of courage, honor, loyalty and faith.
