Ivana Milanovic and Hisham Alnajjar of the College of Engineering,
Technology,
and Architecture making a presentation on their trip to Afghanistan to
assist Herat University
in rebuilding the war-torn country's infrastructure.
Nearly 40 attended the presentation on Afghanistan, and 50 Emeriti and
guests
enjoyed the buffet lunch at the 1877 Club.

Ivana Milanovic and Hisham Alnajjar shared many fascinating stories
about their trip to Kabul and Herat, Afghanistan.
Emeriti Association Co-Chair, Bob Wallace, conducts the business
meeting. Since it was
right after wine and cheese, and just before lunch, all business was
transacted quickly.
Peter Eio, having just served as Chair of the UH Board of Regents for 5
years,
is given a plaque of appreciation from the Emeriti Association.
Peter Eio had been President of Lego America in Enfield, CT prior to
his retirement.
The Lego pieces on the plaque are to remind him of his industrial past.
Peter Eio assured us that he would play with the legos on the plaque to
remind him
of the enjoyable Emeriti Association Meeting and Luncheon.
