8:00 am - Bus leaves from parking lot F (Lincoln Theater)
University of Hartford
Join the Alumni Association for a day of decadence at
the renowned Culinary Institute of America. We will travel by coach bus
from West Hartford to Hyde Park, NY. Upon arrival, our group will be
treated to a behind the scenes tour of the Culinary Institute, where we
will learn about a typical day in the life of a CIA student. Following the tour, we will indulge in a three course
lunch at the CIA's flagship restaurant, Escoffier.
MENU
- First Course: Vol-au-vent d'Escargots - Garlic-Butter Cooked Snails in Puff Pastry
- Main Course: Coq au Vin - Free-Range Chicken Braised in Red Wine, Caramelized Vegetables, Bacon Lardons and Fettuccine
- Dessert: Profiteroles
Following lunch, there will be time to explore the campus grounds,
shop at the bookstore and student bakery.
Space is limited. Cost is $65 per person.
