Tryout Information

The Dance Team holds auditions in the Fall semester, usually the second or third week in September.  If you are interested in auditioning you should be an intermediate to advanced dancer with some type of previous dance experience.  You should have clean single turns and clean leaps.  The amount of dance experience you have is not the determinant for becoming a team member.

We primarily perform jazz and hip-hop routines with rehearsals focusing on technique in ballet and jazz to create a strong basis for turns, leaps, and other tricks for our routines.

Performances include men's and women's basketball games, in addition to at least one competition in the Spring semester.  We also participate in other events on campus including alumni weekend, volunteer events, and performance nights.
