Complementary and Alternative Medicine Links

There are thousands upon thousands of sites devoted to CAM. One must be especially selective and separate the wheat (hopefully you don't suffer from celiac sprue) from the chaff.

• The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine sponsors and disseminates research in CAM. Their site is quite broad and requires some exploration.
• Biomed Central is a free online journal with articles on aspects of CAM.
• The Rosenthal Center has a useful list of sites.
• Alternative Medicine Foundation is what it says.
• The National Homeopathic Association maintains a good collection of references and peer-reviewed articles.
• McMaster University maintains an extensive list with a Canadian flavor.
• The Creighton Medical School maintains a balanced listing of CAM sources.
• The third, and least known, of the three main medical traditions is that of the Unani.
• The Longwood Herbal Task Force covers what it says and includes a large number of valuable links.
• Holistic Medicine covers some of the more extreme facets of the subject. Don't let the typos get you down.
• If it's advice you seek, try either Dr. Weil's or Dr. Whitaker's site.
• Connecticut has two listings of CAM practitioners, either The Door Opener or the Connecticut Holistic Health Association.
