1.  List the vocabulary words (in English) that you don't understand.  Look up their definitions in the dictionary and write them down.  If you don't find definitions, note that.  Provide a minimum of five words.

2.  Add to your list of Surrealist techniques (from the worksheet for 2/15).  Give a brief explanation for each technique and note which artists use it.  You will find examples in both Alexandrian and Fer.

3. Note down here the four "key formula" for defining the work of the Surrealists listed by Alexandrian at the close of his chapter.  We will talk more about them as the course progresses.  Chose a work of art illustrated in the chapter that seems to you to display one of these formula.  Tell me which work it is and where it is and explain your choice.  In explaining your choice, try to use some of the vocabulary words you have been learning--refer to your lists.

4. Find a good example of "the uncanny" in the art in your texts other than those pictured in Fer, pp. 197-203.  Note where I can find it, and explain your choice.  Try to use some of the vocabulary words you have been learning.
