GYMNASTICS

<3
High School gymnastics is one of the greatest sports that
anyone can ever accomplish.
People sometimes look at gymnasts and say that we are insane for doing
all those crazy flips that could potentially hurt one self.
But to be honest with you gymnasts do not care!
People all our lives have told us to be careful, you are going to break
a bone jumping off the beam like that.
But do you think that matters to us?
Of course not.
We were fearless.
High School gymnastics bonded us all.
The
first day I arrived at gymnastics as a freshman I was
nervous as hell.
Everyone was judging you.
They stared to see all the skills you had and what you could do and if
you could potentially kick them out of their competing spot.
Don't get me wrong, we all came to love each other deeply.
But the first day all those freshman arrived, including me, we were
being watched like hawks.
Even though I walked in there thinking I did not know a single person,
I saw many faces that I knew.
A bunch of us girls all were on a team together at the Gymnastics
Learning Center in Shrewsbury, MA.

After the first couple weeks, we all became very close and loved each
other like sisters.
Katie, one of the team captains, had this amazing wrist guards on that
I never knew existed.
They were fantastic.
They gave you so much support and made it easier on your wrists to
support your whole body weight.
By the time I arrived home I told my mom that I need to get these so
called "tiger paws" right away.

When it came time for the coaches to pick who would be competing during
the meets, they wanted to see all of our routines.
I loved floor. It was my favorite event.
But I wanted new music.
Floor was all about picking a style of music that fit you and something
that would make you confident out on the floor.
I picked out an amazing floor music that would make me excel on floor
for the next four years.
