my heritage
I am the first generation born in America. My family is from Antigua and Nigeria. My mother was born in Antigua, and my father is fromNigeria. When telling people about Antigua, they usually say where is that? but Antigua is a small island in the Caribbean, not too far from Puerto Rico. If you look it up on a map you will see that it is called Antigua & Barbuda; Barbuda is the sister island to Antigua which is 15 minutes away by plane. When I was younger I would go to Antigua every year, either for Christmas or for summer vacation. The reason why we choose Antigua of all places is because that is where the majority of my family still lives. Antigua is amazing, it is like no other island I have ever been to. It has 365 white and pink sand beaches, with clear turquoise water, and it is only four hours away from Boston. Antigua is a big tourist island since it is in the Caribbean sea.
