Well this is Hawkward...
I am a junior at the University Of Hartford however this is my first
year at the university because i transfered in from Southern
Connecticut State University where i was a Biology/Physiology major.
I transfered to Hartford because of the Radiology program so i am
currently a Health Science major hoping to get accepted into the
Radiology program next year! I am really enjoying Hartford more
than Southern because i am more involved with school and i am actually
living on campus this time. Its a great experience and i am
involving myself by being apart of the Ultimate Frisbee team, SWAT
team, and i just got initiated into a sorority, Delta Zeta. This has
helped me get to know so many wonderful people and i am able to give
back to the community.
Frisbee- We practice on the GSU lawn about three times a week,
its a great workout and its helping me improve my playing skills. we
compete against other colleges and the last tournament we were at we
won the entire thing and this was very exciting for us! Over
spring break were driving down to Georgia for a tournament so that
should be a great experience.
- SWAT Team- This is a
group of people who promote health, alcohol and sexual abuse and how to
prevent and how to get help. At the end of this i will become a
Certified Health Educator where i can then teach others about health
and how to reach for help.
- Delta Zeta- At
first i was anti-sorority because i thought it was for girly-girls but
its not just about that, its a great thing to be apart of because not
only do you meet a great group of people you also get to give back to
you community and get involved with campus, this year i have already
participated in the Turtle Tug, Relay For Life, Breast Cancer awareness
walk, Up till Dawn for St. Judes Hospital, and i have also raked leaves
for the elderly.
