Andrea McLean is a senior in the BUS program at the University of Hartford. She will graduate in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in University Studies. She plans to continue her studies in the fall of 2011 by pursuing a Master’s degree in Communications.

Andrea strives to maintain the delicate balance between full time employment, family commitments and school work. She has a large family of five children; a 21 year old daughter who recently graduated from college with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a 14 year old who is a Freshman in High School, 12 year old boy/girl twins in Middle School and her eleven year old daughter, who is in the sixth grade.

Andrea enjoys spending time with her immediate and extended family. She is involved in her local church where she teaches Sunday School and Children’s Church. Andrea taught Secondary School in Jamaica before she immigrated to the US sixteen years ago. She plans to return to the classroom after she completes a Master’s degree, within the next three years. She has worked at CIGNA for the past five years an Administrative Assistant.
